I spent most of my adult life "kid free", but that changed when I moved in with my fiancee and her then-four-year-old twin daughters. It has been a little over two years that they have been in my life, and I am just amazed at how quickly they have grown up. With them growing up so quickly, I am worried that I am going to forget some of the funny things that they say. To combat that, whenever they say something funny or completely unexpected, I write it down in my Moleskine. Like this recent exchange while I was outside reading and J was coloring a page from her coloring book:
Nothing prompted this, she was coloring and I was reading
J: looking up at me "I told you I'm a professional"
Me: "You're a professional colorer, huh?"
J: with all of the confidence in the world "Yes I am."
She then went back to coloring.
It is moments like this that just make my day!
What is the funniest, or most unexpected, thing you've ever heard a child say?
